Sarah and Holly asked for more details on my trip. I'm doing a three week international teaching experience in Scotland through Colorado College. Four of us are across the globe right now-- Sarah and Michelle are in New Zealand, Melodie is in Spain and I am here. We requested our countries; India and China were the other options. We spent several months learning about educational systems and current issues in our host countries and connecting with the schools and host families. Now we have time with our schools, teaching, observing, and learning about the culture. My school is rural and very small. They have 40 students, two teachers, and 10 nursery school students. I would like to post pictures of what the kids are doing, but I have been asked to not post any pics of students. The school's website has some photos, though, and most of the kis are sill there. The best part so far is getting to know my host family and their kids.
