Arrived safely in Inverness after a small glitch in the plan. Who knew all departures from DIA could leave from one runway? Not that I'm complaining! Because I missed my connection to Birmingham when we arrived in New Jersey late, I was routed through Heathrow. I didn't think I would make it to London this trip, but I did! It is lush, verdant, and I love the old stone farmhouse where I am staying. My host family is great with three lively young boys. Looking forward to some exploring tomorrow. Photos soon to come.

Let the adventure begin! First stop--New Jersey. Maybe I'll get a glimpse of Barnegate lighthouse, where we used to visit each summer.
